Auto-assign status code

Business value

Document status codes are useful to indicate why a document can’t be finalized, but these codes must be manually assigned. Combined with large numbers of documents, this can lead to excessive and time-consuming work.

With the release of this feature, document status codes can be automatically assigned based on the document’s comments.

Feature details

A Document Status Code column will be added to the Message Center Setup page, enabling the automatic assignment of document status codes based on predefined comments.

Status codes will only be assigned to documents that don’t already have status codes. If multiple comments apply, the status code from the first matching comment will be used.
