Payment methods in Continia Banking
The payment methods available in Continia Banking depend on the bank setup you import. Each payment method is designed for a specific type of transaction, such as domestic transfers, international transfers, SEPA payments, or direct debits. This article describes the available payment methods and helps you choose the one that best matches your payment scenario.
| Code | Description | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| BTD | Domestic bank transfer | Use for domestic bank transfers within the same country, such as local payment formats used by banks in countries such as Denmark or Switzerland. |
| BTI | International bank transfer | Use for international bank transfers. |
| BTIU | International bank transfer urgent | Use for urgent international payments. The actual execution date depends on your agreement with the bank. |
| DDEBIT | Direct Debit - CORE | Use for collecting payments from customers through the SEPA Direct Debit Core scheme. This payment method is intended for customer payments and isn't used for vendor payments. |
| DDEBIT-B2B | Direct Debit - B2B | Use for collecting payments from business customers through the SEPA Direct Debit B2B scheme. This payment method is intended for customer payments and isn't used for vendor payments. |
| MANUAL | Manual payment | Use when a payment is processed manually outside Continia Banking, for example directly in your banking software. This allows you to register and track the payment in Business Central without creating an electronic payment file. |
| SEPA | SEPA payment | Use for euro payments between countries that participate in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). This is the preferred payment method for standard cross-border euro transfers within the SEPA region. |
Only the payment methods supported by your bank are activated when you import its bank setup. Country- and bank-specific variations of these payment methods also exist, for example, ACH, BACS, and CHAPS, and aren't listed individually here.
