Installing the Expense Management app

Before you can start using Continia Expense Management, you must install it in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central tenant. If you’re not yet sure whether you want to use this product, you can sign up for a free 30‑day trial. This lets you explore all features before deciding on a subscription. You can cancel the trial at any time.

Continia Expense Management is available from Microsoft Marketplace and you can install it in several ways. For more information, see Customizing Business Central online using apps (Microsoft article).

Important

To install Expense Management, you must be assisted by an approved Continia partner. During activation, a person from your partner’s organization must sign in using their own user credentials. To install extensions from Microsoft Marketplace or add per‑tenant extensions, you must also have the required permissions. You must either belong to the D365 EXTENSION MGMT user group or have the D365 EXTENSION MGMT permission set.

To install Expense Management:

  1. Search (Search) for Continia Expense Management, then click Get from Microsoft Marketplace.
  2. Click Free Trial and complete the installation. For more information, see Customizing Business Central online using apps (Microsoft article).
  3. Optional: To follow the installation status, search (Search) for and select Extension Management.
  4. When the Expense Management installation is complete, you receive a notification on the Role Center that Expense Management has been installed.
  5. In the notification, click Activate now.
  6. Follow the steps in the Activation Guide.
  7. When the guide finishes, the Continia Expense Management Assisted Setup opens to help you complete the setup.
