Setting up Email Notifications

When notifying your vendors about payments, in addition to being notified by the bank your vendors can also be notified by email. Payment Management comes with a default email template. If needed, you can modify the template and define what information to be included in the email.

Important

Email setup must be completed before you can send emails from Business Central to your vendors. Setting up SMTP email is part of standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Read more information about how to set up SMTP email on Microsoft Docs Set up Email.

For information on how to send and manage payment notifications from the payment journal, see Managing Payment Notifications.
