Managing Usage Areas

The usage areas of Payment Management are located on the Payment Management Setup page and include: Payments, Payment Receipts, Statement Intelligence and Direct Debit.

The usage areas control whether it's possible to use Payment Management in the payment journal, the cash receipt journal and the bank account reconciliation. The usage areas are automatically enabled after the installation and activation of Payment Management. If you disable a usage area, for example, Payments, you will not be able to use the Payment Management Payment Journal to process your payments.

To manage the activation of usage areas:

  1. Select the Search for page or report icon and search for Payment Management Setup, then select the related link.
  2. On the Usage Areas FastTab, disable or enable usage areas as needed.
