Business value

Using Expense Management involves frequent interactions with configuration pages, field setups, and user access controls. Over time, the layouts and navigation of these pages had grown complex, making routine tasks more complicated than they needed to be.

This release introduces a set of targeted improvements across several key pages in Expense Management. By redesigning how configuration data is structured and presented, these changes make it easier to find relevant settings, understand relationships between fields, and control access with greater precision. The result is an easier, more efficient experience for both administrators and users.

Feature details

The following improvements have been made across the Expense Management user interface.

  • The Configured Fields page The Configured Fields page has been redesigned with a tree-view layout. All available fields for each document type in the app now display in a structured hierarchy. This makes it easier to navigate and understand the full scope of configured fields at a glance.
  • Field Dependencies Field Dependencies are now also presented in a tree-view layout. The tree supports expand and collapse interactions. Entries are grouped based on the main rule, which is to empower administrators to quickly identify how dependencies are structured and where rules apply.
  • Lookup Value Access The Lookup Value Access page has been updated with a matrix view. This provides precision control over which lookup values are accessible per user and user group. Moreover, this brings administrators a clearer overview and simplifies managing access across different roles.
  • Field Type card The Field Type card has received a refresh to its visual design, improving readability and ensuring consistency with the overall look and feel of Expense Management.
  • Expense Management Setup Actions on the Expense Management Setup page have been reorganized to improve workflow by ordering actions logically and to reduce the time it takes to locate and perform common setup tasks.
