Document Output version: 29.1.0
Continia Delivery Network version: 29.1.0
New or changed functionality
| Functional Area | Description | ID |
|---|---|---|
| Documents and Templates | You can now attach files stored in Document Capture to emails sent from Document Output. When enabled on the email template, files linked to the document (such as a captured purchase invoice PDF) are included according to the filter settings on the template line. | 69772 |
| eDocuments | You can now send self-billing invoices and credit memos in the XRechnung and ZUGFeRD formats, for UBL and the CII versions. | 65379 |
| eDocuments | Previously, only a predefined set of XML formats could be imported into Continia Inbound eDocuments through third-party integrations. This restriction has been removed, allowing partners to develop custom integrations that import other XML formats directly into Continia Inbound eDocuments. | 80998 |
| eDocuments | The app name and related texts in the Customer Onboarding app and Continia Delivery Network have been updated from Continia KYC to Continia Customer Onboarding. References to KYC as an industry term, as well as its use in AL object prefixes and telemetry identifiers, remain unchanged. | 81655 |
| eDocuments | When copying an environment, the Customer Onboarding records are now handled accordingly. When copying to a different environment type (production to sandbox, for example), the Customer Onboarding records (Onboarding Company and Alternate Company Name) are deleted. When copying to a similar environment type, the records are persisted. | 82277 |
| eDocuments | When creating a new participation, Customer Onboarding was required even if the Continia Delivery Network was in Test Mode. This is no longer the case, and Customer Onboarding is now skipped if Test Mode is enabled. Behavior when Test Mode is disabled is unchanged. | 82554 |
| eDocuments | The Participation Onboarding assisted setup previously offered every document flow, profile and business role regardless of which Continia apps were activated for the company, so it was possible to register for document exchange the company could not actually perform. The onboarding now takes the activated apps into account. | 82566 |
| eDocuments | With this update it's possible to emit Invoice Responses/Application Responses from Purchase Credit Memos, similar as to what is possible to do from Purchase Invoices. The supported response types are Accepted and Rejected. | 82965 |
| eDocuments | The CII XML structure used for ZUGFeRD and XRechnung invoices has been improved in many places, so the invoices meet the EN 16931 and XRechnung validation rules. Line discounts are now exported as line allowances, line totals are rounded correctly, and the buyer reference is included. The invoices now also contain more details, such as payee and seller tax representative information, contact details, the delivery address, billing periods, item classifications and attributes, and references to other documents. Existing installations are updated automatically when the app is upgraded. | 83332 |
| eDocuments | Improved electronic invoice sending so the invoice is always the first file embedded in the XML. Portals that treat the first embedded file as the invoice now pick up the correct document, and when multiple template report lines are set up, the first line is treated as the invoice. | 83759 |
| eDocuments | The "old" XML Export Document Output is now marked as obsolete and planned for removal in version 32. It remains fully supported until April 2027 and continues to work after that without further updates, including legislative changes; you should move to Enhanced Continia eDocuments. | 84628 |
| General Application | Added a new Attach as PDF action on sales, purchase, and service documents, including service orders, quotes, and posted service invoices. The action creates a PDF using Continia's Save as/Print PDF function and the document output email templates, and attaches it to the document. | 83261 |
| Country and Regional | Receiver IDs used when sending eDocuments through the French eInvoicing network can now include a suffix, providing greater flexibility when identifying individual receiving entities. The suffix type can be configured per customer or vendor using the new Receiver ID Suffix Type field in the eDocument setup. The functionality is extensible, allowing partners to define custom suffix types by extending the Receiver ID Suffix Type enum and implementing the IRcv Id Suffix interface. Once a suffix type is available, it can be selected for the relevant customer or vendor. | 81424 |
| Country and Regional | A Recalculate action is now available on the eReport Card and eReports list pages, where multiple eReports can be selected and recalculated at once. Recalculating returns the documents in an eReport to the processing queue, allowing the eReport to be rebuilt the next time Process References runs, either manually or as scheduled. If the eReport has not been sent, its calculated data is cleared and its status returns to New. If the eReport has already been sent, the original eReport remains unchanged, and the next processing run creates a correction eReport that refers to it. Documents added manually before the processing run are also included in the recalculation. An eReport cannot be recalculated in the following cases:
| 81778 |
| Country and Regional | The Scenario Framework can now be used with custom document tables. Previously, the eDocument Scenario Flow field was only populated and transferred to posted documents for standard Business Central sales, purchase, and service documents. When the field was added to a custom document table, the scenario flow was not transferred to the posted document. A new public codeunit, CTS-CDNSF Scenario (6252612), has been added to the Scenario Framework, enabling extensions to:
The Scenario Flow and Record Coding Value tables and their related enums are also available to extensions. Standard Business Central sales, purchase, and service documents are unaffected and continue to work as before. | 82082 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, the business process code reported in F10.1 was taken only from the Scenario Framework, and B1 was reported for every document the configuration did not cover - which was incorrect for service and mixed invoices. A Scenario Framework value is still used when one is set, but otherwise the code is now calculated from the document: B1, S1 or M1 for goods, services or a mix, and B4, S4 or M4 for a final invoice that settles an earlier prepayment. If the document does not hold enough information to determine the code, B1 is used and noted in the report log. | 82097 |
| Country and Regional | Required #PMT#, #PMD#, and #AAB# document notes are now generated automatically when you send eDocuments through the French PA network. These notes can also be configured manually in the Payment Means Setup page. | 82138 |
| Country and Regional | Scenario flow handling for French eDocuments has been enhanced to ensure that invoices and credit memos contain the business process information required by the French eInvoicing platform. For sales and service invoices and credit memos sent in the UBL-FR, CII-FR, or Factur-X format, an eDocument Scenario Flow must now be selected before posting. This helps prevent documents from being rejected later because the required business process information is missing. If the eDocument Scenario Flow field is empty, posting is blocked and the following error is shown:
Documents sent in other electronic formats are not affected.
| 82960 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, an invoice could be reported with an exempt VAT category even though the seller had no VAT identifier, and the receiving platform rejected the file. French eReporting now checks for the identifier and adds an entry to the report log when it is missing. | 83110 |
| Country and Regional | Updated the FA(3) styled view with the latest changes provided by IT.integro | 83779 |
Bug fixes
| Functional Area | Description | ID |
|---|---|---|
| Documents and Templates | The Email field on the main XRECHNUNG2 and ZUGFERD profiles is now set to PDF by default, so documents that are not a sales or service invoice or credit memo are sent as PDF. | 83369 |
| Documents and Templates | Extensions built on Document Output could not migrate to the new template lines introduced in version 29.0, because the replacement procedures were not accessible. These procedures are now public, so extensions can replace the obsolete calls without losing functionality. | 84457 |
| eDocuments | Added mapping of Prepaid Amount in the eBilling Header to the relevant field in the CIIEN16931 XML Structure, when sending ZUGFeRD e-documents. | 82182 |
| eDocuments | Fixed an issue that caused eDocument Status to not be updated on Posted Purchase Credit Memos. Before this change the field would be empty after posting - the intended, initial, value is Received. | 83283 |
| eDocuments | After a line was deleted on an order used in a PEPPOL order change flow, AnticipatedMonetaryTotal was miscalculated because the deleted line was still counted, causing the following error:
This has now been fixed, and the order change can now be sent. | 80406 |
| eDocuments | Previously, when discovering receiving capabilities using the eCandidates page, the FR:CTC identification type was not included in the discovery process. This could prevent receiving capabilities from being identified correctly for customers in France, where FR:CTC is commonly used. The FR:CTC identification type is now included when discovering receiving capabilities. To ensure that FR:CTC is evaluated for existing customers, run Refresh List with Customers with Force Refresh Cache enabled. | 81540 |
| eDocuments | When sending a sales credit memo using the French CII format, the generated XML incorrectly used Document Type Code 380 (invoice) instead of 381 (credit memo) because the document type could be overwritten by default scenario flows. To reduce scenario configuration conflicts for invoices and credit memos, the REGULARINVOICE and REGULARCREDITMEMO scenarios have been merged into REGULARDOCUMENT. | 81773 |
| eDocuments | PA France participants could not receive plain Peppol BIS 3 invoices and credit memos because the four PA France network profiles for Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 and Peppol BIS Self-Billing 3.0 were not mapped to any XML structure. These profiles are now mapped to their Peppol BIS 3 XML structures and listed under each structure’s supported network profiles, without duplicating mappings or raising errors if the profiles aren’t present. | 82035 |
| eDocuments | When you sent a posted sales credit memo in the ZUGFeRD format, the following error occurred:
The format only included a structure for invoices. It now also includes a structure for credit memos, so credit memos can be sent in this format, and incoming credit notes in this format are recognized as credit memos. | 83367 |
| eDocuments | Added indirect permissions to the Continia Delivery Network - Scenario Framework app to allow for users with DO-BASIC permissions to assign eDocument Scenario Flow code (field value) to sales document.
| 84154 |
| eDocuments | When resolving VAT as endpoint type on a Norwegian customer, that has VAT Number assigned as "NO xxx xxx xxx MVA" eCandidates fail to remove the leading and trailing letters. Causing the eCandidate status to be Not Registered. | 84433 |
| eDocuments | An action to re-run the auto-mapping between Business Central records to related code list values have been added to the page Continia eDocuments Setup (the action is hidden by default). The action will allow users to update the code list translations used in eDocuments (unit of measure codes, country codes etc.). | 82187 |
| eDocuments | The required ICD-FR SchemeID is now correctly populated when a Delivery Location Identifier is present, ensuring compliance with French validation rules and preventing document rejection during submission. | 82188 |
| eDocuments | Improved reliability of the eDocuments receiving capabilities check. The check that determines a customer's receiving endpoint has been made more robust, ensuring endpoint information is always determined independently for each customer. | 82231 |
| eDocuments | Previously, when performing a lookup on the Participation field on any eDocuments Setup Card page, the following error could occur if the new eDocuments experience was disabled:
| 82472 |
| eDocuments | When an output profile both sent eDocuments through the network and attached the eDocument XML to an email, the XML attachment was missing for documents that had already been sent, and the following error occurred:
The XML is now attached as expected, and no error is reported for this scenario. | 82900 |
| General Application | When Sell-to Customer and Bill-to Customer were different on sales and service documents, the Document Output FactBox showed the wrong email recipients. The FactBox now uses the Bill-to Customer output profile and email address, so posted documents are sent to the correct recipient. | 74200 |
| General Application | When the Template Table field on email templates was misunderstood and changed to a different table, the template failed and returned errors when applied to records. The field now has a clearer name and tooltip that emphasize it must contain the first table of the report, preventing incorrect setup. | 80187 |
| General Application | When changing Log storage type on the Document Output Setup page, the value reverted to the original selection. This has now been fixed, and the selected log storage type and matching storage settings are shown correctly. | 82025 |
| General Application | The Send Actions Visibility setup was ignored on Posted Sales Shipments and Posted Sales Return Receipts. The standard email and send actions on these documents now follow the configured visibility settings. | 82835 |
| General Application | Fixed an issue in the Update Delivery Document Profiles report where purchase documents incorrectly offered Sell to Customer No. as a filter instead of the vendor field. You can now filter purchase documents by vendor number. | 84054 |
| General Application | Sometimes, the Company Name, Country Code and VAT Registration No. columns on the Network Participations page were empty. Since recently, these details come from the company onboarding data, which was not retrieved after the upgrade. Whenever you open the Network Participations page, the company onboarding data is now refreshed together with the participations, and the columns show the details of the company behind each participation. | 85418 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, when an invoice was exchanged with a party whose identifier included a routing suffix, such as a French SIREN with a suffix, the invoice response (CDAR) could be sent to the recipient's identifier without the suffix. Invoice responses are now sent to the same endpoint as the invoice they respond to, ensuring that routing suffixes are preserved. | 83092 |
| Country and Regional | Sales prepayments can now be included in eReporting. Posted prepayment invoices are reported as document type 386, while posted prepayment credit memos are reported as document type 503. For foreign business customers, prepayment invoices are reported in F10.1 and the corresponding payments in F10.2. For domestic consumers, prepayment invoices are reported in F10.3 and the corresponding payments in F10.4. The final invoice is reported for the remaining sales amount after deducting the prepayment. Payments are not reported when the buyer is liable for the VAT, such as for reverse charge transactions, intra-EU supplies, and exports. | 80629 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, French eReporting transmissions could be rejected during validation by the receiving platform, and transmissions without a receiver identifier could not be sent. The FR report XML has been corrected for the IssueDateTime format, seller and buyer identification, including the seller's tax representative, and the transmission type used when a report is resubmitted. These transmissions are now accepted and can be sent successfully. | 81893 |
| Country and Regional | Fixed an issue that prevented French Self-Billing documents from being sent successfully through the French eInvoicing network. | 83424 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, when a general journal document had several lines, the amounts in the F10.3 eReporting could be counted more than once, so the declared amounts were too high. Each document is now counted only once, with the correct amounts. | 83616 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, eReports were not validated against the Schematron rules before being sent. As a result, an eReport that did not meet the required format could still be sent. Each eReport is now validated against the Schematron rules before it is sent. If validation fails, the eReport is not sent and the validation errors are logged. | 83619 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, in Business Central online, the Scenario Flow field could not be changed on the Posted Sales Invoice and Posted Sales Credit Memo pages, even for users with the required permission sets. This was because Business Central online only allows posted documents to be modified through the standard update process. The Scenario Flow field has now been added to the page that opens from the Update Document action. The scenario flow can therefore be changed on posted sales invoices and credit memos in Business Central online, with the changes saved through the standard update process. | 83743 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, the job that sends eReports stopped after a single error, and no eReports were sent until someone restarted it. The job now tries again up to three times before it stops. | 83878 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, when changing the VAT regime in the country setup for France, or clearing eReport Nos. in the eReporting setup, the error shown for an eReport that was not yet sent could give the wrong advice. The error message now explains what to do, based on the status of the eReport. | 83991 |
| Country and Regional | The Approved tile on the Role Center is now named Ready to Send and only counts eReports whose period is closed and whose due date has been reached. Previously, the tile also counted eReports that were not yet due, and the tiles were not updated when returning to the page. | 84061 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, the delivery date in the eReport could be wrong. The eReport now uses the actual delivery date from posted shipments or receipts. If no date is found, the date is left empty and a warning is shown. | 84137 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, French e-reporting took the VAT exemption code from the Full VATEX Code field on the VAT Clauses page. The code is now taken from the VATEX Code field on the VAT Posting Setup page, and existing codes are copied there during the update. Action required: For VAT Posting Setups that use a VAT Clause with a code that does not start with VATEX-, fill in the VATEX Code field manually. | 84273 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, the eReporting Setup page opened read-only for administrators without the SUPER permission set. Administrators can now set up eReporting, while users with only edit permissions can view the setup but not change it. | 85357 |
| Country and Regional | The Issue Date is now correctly populated for referenced invoices in credit notes, preventing validation errors during document sending. | 82238 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, a payment applied to an invoice while the payment itself was being posted did not appear in the F10.2 and F10.4 payment declarations. This happened when Applies-to Doc. No. or Applies-to ID was filled in on the journal line, and when the payment was applied automatically for customers set to Apply to Oldest. Payments applied afterwards on the Apply Entries page were not affected. These payments now appear in the declarations, no matter how they were applied. | 82259 |
| Country and Regional | Flow F10.2 now reports payments from foreign B2B customers instead of French ones. Flows F10.1 and F10.3 now also include invoices with the scenario codes USECASE-20 and USECASE-21, so prepayments and their related documents are reported again. The filters are updated automatically when the app is updated, and manually changed filters are kept. | 82260 |
| Country and Regional | French eReporting requires every credit memo to reference the invoice it corrects. When the credit memo was created with the Cancel action on a posted invoice, or was a Prepayment Credit Memo, this reference was not found and the report failed for the whole period. Both are now reported with the correct invoice. | 82455 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, one document that failed a check stopped the eReport from being generated for the whole period. The eReport is now generated for the full period, and each failed check is recorded in the eReport log. Approving an eReport with unresolved entries in the log now requires confirmation. | 82681 |
| Country and Regional | Previously when sending an eDocument using the French CII or Factur-X formats, the following errors could appear in the validation log:
| 82795 |
| Country and Regional | Fixed a mapping issue in the CIIEN-16931 Xml Structure:
| 82799 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, when sending an eDocument through the PA France network, the following error could occur:
This could occur when the eDocument Line Types setup was incomplete. The complete setup can now be imported using the relevant eDocuments setup guide. | 82877 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, when sending a corrective credit memo for France in the CII format, the issue date of the referenced invoice was formatted as YYYY-MM-DD instead of the YYYYMMDD format required by the French CII specification. As a result, the credit memo could fail validation with the following error:
The issue date of the referenced invoice is now formatted as YYYYMMDD, allowing corrective credit memos to pass French CII validation. | 82925 |
| Country and Regional | Previously, amount fields in French eDocuments could be generated with excessive decimal precision, resulting in an invalid document and validation errors such as:
Amount values are now generated with the required decimal precision, ensuring that French eDocuments comply with the required format. | 82963 |
| Country and Regional | The report types that are combined into one eReport are now predefined, so the eReport Groups page is no longer used: invoice and transaction data are reported together, and payment data is reported together. On update, open eReports of the same period that belong together are merged into one, while eReports that have already been sent are left unchanged. | 83023 |
| XML Export | When only Continia Document Output was installed, the VATEX Code field in VAT Posting Setup was hidden by default, and when it was made visible through personalization it could not be edited and had no lookup. Using VATEX codes therefore required a configuration package. | 85358 |
| XML Export | When a sales invoice or credit memo with a line discount was exported in the ZUGFeRD or CII format, the gross price and the discount on a line were rounded separately, so the net price could differ by one cent from the gross price minus the discount, and the following validation error occurred:
This has been fixed. The gross price, allowance amount, and net price are now derived from the same rounded values, so the net price always equals the gross price minus the discount. This applies to item, G/L account, and resource lines. When Prices Including VAT is enabled, the line amount is now also rounded to two decimals. | 82462 |

New or changed functionality
| Functional area | Description | ID |
|---|---|---|
| Documents and Templates | Added support for multiple variant criteria on a template line, so a single template can route documents on a combination of fields, such as location and department, instead of one variant field. | 71287 |
| eDocuments | Added automatic processing of invoice responses in Document Output. | 76912 |
| eDocuments | Previously, only a predefined set of XML formats could be imported into Continia Inbound eDocuments through third-party integrations. This restriction has been removed, allowing partners to develop custom integrations that import other XML formats directly into Continia Inbound eDocuments. | 80998 |

References to KYC as an industry term, as well as its use in AL object prefixes and telemetry identifiers, remain unchanged. | 81655 |
| General Application | You can now share a single Azure Blob container across multiple companies in Document Output by storing each company’s blobs in its own folder, matching Document Capture’s layout. | 77666 |
| General Application | Added a new Automations section to the Document Output Setup page, where you can enable or disable Document Output's background jobs and see their current status without leaving the setup page. | 82915 |
| Country and Regional | Receiver IDs used when sending eDocuments through the French e-invoicing network can now include a suffix, providing greater flexibility when identifying individual receiving entities.
