Internal Continia apps
When you install a Continia solution in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, mandatory apps are automatically installed along with it. These apps serve purposes essential either for the inner workings of each individual Continia solution or for the communication between solutions.
The apps work out of the box and require no setup or configuration. Each of them is described in this article.
Shared apps
The following mandatory apps are shared across all Continia solutions.

| Continia Business Foundation | Provides shared internal business logic used across all Continia solutions, such as information about Continia users. Each solution communicates with this app to retrieve user‑related data. |
| Continia Connector App | Enables internal communication between different Continia solutions installed in the same Business Central environment. The app provides the interconnectivity needed for the solutions to exchange data and work together seamlessly. |
| Continia Core | Handles activation and consumption registration and provides essential cross-solution capabilities, including shared frameworks for telemetry, web communication, and other technical services used across multiple Continia solutions. |
| Continia System Application | Includes technical modules that enable you to work with HTTP, XML files, JSON, Azure Blob Storage, cryptography, notifications, and other system‑level operations inside Business Central. |
| Continia Customer Onboarding | Onboards and verifies companies in Business Central as part of the know-your-customer process. It tracks each company's onboarding session and verification status, and Continia Delivery Network uses it when onboarding companies. |
AI framework apps
The following mandatory apps make up the shared AI framework and are installed with every Continia solution that uses AI capabilities.

| Continia AI - Core | The provider-agnostic AI framework used by all Continia solutions. It handles the model registry, setup and access control, request and response handling, tool definitions, and telemetry. Continia solutions call this app rather than individual AI services, so the same feature works regardless of which provider is configured. |
| Continia AI - Integration Providers | A suite app that bundles the integration provider apps listed under AI provider apps. It installs the complete provider stack as a single dependency, so solutions don't need to reference each provider individually. |
| Continia AI - Agent Foundation | Provides AI capabilities on top of the framework, such as multi-step reasoning, tool calling, and conversation state. Solutions build on this app when a feature needs the model to perform a sequence of actions, rather than answer a single request. |
| Continia Azure OpenAI Client | Handles authentication, access management, and secrets for Azure OpenAI, including Azure Key Vault access and connectable authenticator and secrets providers. Used by the Azure OpenAI provider app. |
AI provider apps
Each provider app implements the connection to one AI service. All of them are installed, but only the provider selected in Continia AI Setup is used at runtime. This allows you to change provider later without installing or uninstalling anything.

| Continia AI - Google Integration | Implements the Google Gemini provider, enabling chat completions, streaming, tool use, and multimodal input through the Google AI API. |
