Using Continia Finance modules in Continia Banking
Integrating Continia Finance modules with Continia Banking provides additional functionality for managing payments, associations, and reconciliation processes.
Associations module
The Associations module enables you to manage payments for customer or vendor associations in Continia Banking. By grouping customers or vendors, you can view and process all open entries that belong to an association in one place. This makes it easier to assign and handle payments for related accounts.
Key capabilities
- Customer and vendor associations
Combine multiple customers into one customer association or merge multiple vendors into one vendor association for unified payment handling. - Customer/vendor linking
Link a customer with a vendor to create a customer/vendor link for clearing entries across both accounts. - Integrated payment suggestions
When the Associations module is active, the Suggest Vendor Payments page includes additional options:- Association Payment – when enabled, Continia Banking retrieves association details through the Business Foundation app.
- Example: If account
30000is the leading account for vendors10000and82000, payment suggestions are created under the leading account30000.
- Example: If account
- Account Linking Payment – when linking a customer and a vendor (for example, vendor
31000), the system includes both entries in the same payment suggestion.
- Association Payment – when enabled, Continia Banking retrieves association details through the Business Foundation app.
These options let you maintain standard checks on due dates, payment discounts, and other details while managing association-based payments.
For more information, see Continia Finance documentation.
Multi-Level Payment Discount module
The Multi-Level Payment Discount module adds support for multiple discount levels from Continia Finance. When integrated through the Continia Connector app (latest version required), the system retrieves discount information from Continia Finance during payment processing.
Example
With multi-level discounts, you can define several discount levels for one invoice:
- 3% at 10 days
- 2% at 20 days
- 1% at 30 days
When a sales invoice includes these terms, Continia Banking applies the correct discount based on the payment date and due dates. This ensures accurate and consistent discount handling.
For details about this feature, see Continia Finance documentation.
G/L Open Entries module
The G/L Open Entries module adds reconciliation functionality from Continia Finance to Continia Banking. It lets you reconcile open general ledger (G/L) entries manually or automatically during the import process. This is useful for payments in progress that haven’t yet cleared in bank statements, such as payroll transfers, tax payments, social insurance contributions.
When the G/L Open Entries module is active, the Banking Import Setup page includes options for defining how open G/L entries are identified and matched during import.
Note
The G/L Open Entries functionality is available in Continia Banking and Continia Finance version 27.0.0 or higher. You can enable it on the Continia Feature Management page.
For more information, see Introducing the G/L open entries module.
