Direct debit for non-SEPA currencies

In addition to SEPA direct debit (EUR), direct debit is also available for selected non-SEPA currencies. This extension enables organizations to collect payments in local currencies while maintaining a process that closely mirrors the SEPA Direct Debit framework.

The non-SEPA direct debit method currently supports:

  • CZK – Czech Republic (CZ)
  • PLN – Poland (PL)
  • DKK – Denmark (DK)
  • GBP – United Kingdom (GB)
  • SEK – Sweden (SE)

Each country follows its respective domestic Direct Debit scheme while preserving a unified initiation process within the system.

For Denmark (DK), Sweden (SE), Czech Republic (CZ), and the United Kingdom (GB), domestic Direct Debit processing is enabled through a dedicated conversion service provided by Deutsche Bank.

The conversion process:

  • Accepts a derived version of the pain.008.02 XML format
  • Converts the file into the required domestic banking format
  • Processes transactions in accordance with the CGI (Common Global Implementation) standard between participating banks
