Document queue
The document queue is a list of documents that are ready to be sent using Document Output. When an item is listed in the document queue, you can see the Business Central document it originates from and, if needed, go directly to the source record for more information. It's also possible to see the email template that will be used with each item on the list.
The document queue list will only display documents that are ready to be emailed. If documents are marked with the Document Output profile Print, they're automatically forwarded to the Print Queue, or to Outgoing Network Documents if the output profile is configured for XML files.
The preconfigured email job queue is set up to automatically dispatch all entries in the document queue list. The job queue entry running Object ID 6175283 is automatically configured to run email jobs every minute by default.
If it's not enabled, all documents that are ready to be sent will remain in the document queue to be manually dispatched.

To use the document queue
In the document queue, you can process each of the documents individually or all of them in bulk for certain actions. For example, you can send all documents in one go with a single click using the Start Dispatcher action, as described below.
To open and use the document queue, follow these steps:
- In the Role Center, go to the Document Output section for document queues.
- Under Document Queue, click Document Queue to open the Document Output Queue Entry page.
- The list of entries displays all documents in the queue. In the list, select the document entry that you want to process. If you want to process all entries using one of the actions in step 4 below, skip this step.
- In the action bar, select the action(s) that you want to carry out:
- Manage > Delete: Deletes the document entry you selected in step 3 above.
- Start Dispatcher: Sends all documents in the queue according to their respective output profile settings and email template settings.
- Delete all: Deletes all document entries in the list.
- Show record: Opens the document you selected in step 3 above.
- Show error: Displays the error message (if any) for the document you selected in step 3 above.
Tipp
In the list of entries, the Error message column indicates if error messages exist for each individual document entry. Clicking Show error displays the full error message for the selected entry.
