Scope of Support Services
Continia Software is known for its excellent support and always strives to help partners to the greatest extent possible. However, the unfortunate combination of somewhat limited capacity and an ever-increasing demand for support often makes it necessary to manage what support is provided to whom, in order to ensure that partners with critical issues and issues relating to supported versions of Continia Document Output get the excellent support they've come to expect.
This article details exactly what types of support Continia does and doesn't provide, thereby making it easy for you as a partner to understand when to rely on Continia for help, what Document Output versions are supported, and what's outside the scope of support. The article also ensures that you know what skills you must possess or acquire yourself in order to be able to support any Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central installation with Document Output installed.
What does Continia support?
Continia provides ongoing support of all Document Output releases for at least two years after each release date. As upgrading Document Output to a newer version requires no data upgrade, and because it's easier, in most cases, to upgrade to the latest Document Output version rather than upgrading an old version with a service pack, a Business Central supported version that falls outside of the official support cycle guidelines will be available at times.

Continia provides ongoing support for all Document Output releases for at least two years after each release date. Currently, the following versions of Document Output are supported:

Continia Software officially ended support for NAV/BC versions from NAV7 to Business Central October 2018 (BC v13) as of October 2021, though Document Output was released for these versions for the last time on April 14, 2023 with the release of Document Output 2022 R2 (7.04), which you can still download from Continia PartnerZone. No service packs or hotfixes will be released for unsupported versions of Business Central.
Unsupported versions of Business Central are not included in our release packages, but if you need Document Output for an unsupported version of Business Central, you can get it by submitting a support request ticket through the Continia Partner Support. So far, new features and bug fixes have been included in these versions, but that can't be guaranteed to be the case in the future, as standard functionality in Business Central may change and block development.
