Importing PSP payments
Continia Banking lets you import payments from payment service providers (PSPs) using different PSP agreements to set up the bank account and the import rules. This way, you can easily import data from third-party service providers such as marketplaces and payment services and don't have to enter the data for each payment manually.
Instead of uploading a file each time, you can let Continia Banking fetch the files from your payment service provider automatically. For more information, see Importing PSP files from Azure Blob Storage.
Bemærk
Only users with the CTS CB PSP ADMIN, CTS CB PSP EDIT, or CTS CB PSP READ permission set can access PSP data. For more information about the permission sets that you need to create PSP agreements and import PSP files, see Continia Banking permissions.
To set up a cash receipt journal for PSP payments:
- Search () for and select Cash Receipt Journals.
- Navigate to the Batch Name field and click the three dots to open the General Journal Batches page.
- Locate the journal that you want to use for importing, then enable Payment Service Provider Journal. If you have not set up an agreement for the PSP, you will be prompted to do so.
- On the action bar, select Home > Import (Existing) PSP Payments.
- On the Import Payments dialog, in the PSP Agreement field, select the PSP agreement that you want to import payments for. By default, the PSP agreement is filled in. Optionally, you can add a manual document number and specify that you want a balance account line to be created per posting date. Select OK to continue.
- You are now prompted to select the file for import. Continia converts the file and sends the data to Continia CSV Ports, making it possible to import the data to the Cash Receipt Journal.

How Continia Banking creates the journal lines
Continia Banking creates the journal lines from the PSP headers of the agreement that are not imported yet:
- Customer lines - one invoice line and, if credit memo identification rules apply, one credit memo line for each line in the PSP file and posting date. The document type is Payment for negative amounts and Refund for positive amounts. If the CSV port has a column mapping of the type Document Type, the mapped document type is used instead. The description is the reference from the PSP file. The internal texts and the amounts of the PSP details are shown in the Additional Texts FactBox.
- Fee lines - amounts that match a PSP search rule are posted to the account of the rule. For more information, see Handling fees and credit memos in PSP imports.
- Balancing lines - if you create balancing lines per posting date, the lines get the status Balancing.
- Currency - Continia Banking uses the currency code in the PSP file. If the file doesn't contain a currency code, Continia Banking uses the Default Currency Code of the PSP agreement.
- Dimensions - the dimensions in the PSP file are added to the journal lines. Dimensions that you assign to the PSP agreement or to a PSP search rule are added to the lines that Continia Banking creates for them, such as balancing lines and fee lines.
- Document numbers - Continia Banking renumbers the lines after the import, so that the lines that belong together have the same document number.
Working with the journal lines
In a cash receipt journal that is set up for PSP payments, the following actions are available on the action bar:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Apply Imported Payments | Matches the lines with your sales documents and customer ledger entries again. You can choose to apply the selected lines or all lines. |
| View PSP Details | Opens the PSP header of the selected line, with the related line and detail highlighted. |
| View External Reference Rules | Opens the PSP External References Rules page. |
| PSP Search Rules | Opens the PSP search rules of the agreement of the selected line. |
| Journal Statistics | Shows the total amount for each account type, account number, and currency. |
| Renumber Document Numbers | Renumbers the document numbers to prevent posting errors. Entry applications and line groupings are kept intact. |
| Update Posting Date | Changes the posting date of the selected lines or all lines to a date that you enter. |
| Delete and set as Imported | Deletes the selected journal lines and marks the related PSP data as imported, so that it can't be imported again. If you delete lines in the usual way, the PSP data can be imported again. For more information, see Working with PSP headers. |
