Setting up a payment service agreement
Continia Banking supports file imports from third-party payment service providers (PSPs), including eCommerce marketplaces such as bol.com and payment services such as PayPal and Klarna. Continia Banking includes preset PSPs that you configure by adding PSP agreements.
A PSP agreement lets you separate multiple payment streams from the same PSP. For example, you can use different bank accounts, or different general ledger (G/L) accounts for posting fees.
Before you can import PSP payments into a cash receipt journal, you must add and configure a PSP agreement.
Tip
If your PSP isn't listed, contact Continia to learn about the available options.
Before you can import PSP payments into cash receipt journals, you must add and configure a PSP agreement first.
To set up a PSP agreement using the wizard
Continia Banking provides a wizard that takes you through the steps of adding or editing a PSP agreement.
To set up a PSP agreement:
- Search () for and select PSP Agreement Setup.
- On the PSP Agreement Setup page, select Next.
- On the PSP Agreement Setup page, add a new line, enter the following details, then click Next:
- Name - enter a name for the PSP agreement.
- Payment Service Provider - select the PSP code to link the agreement to the provider. You may be prompted to select how to import the rules:
- Import the rules from the default rule template - this option applies a predefined set of rules based on the system’s default template.
- Import the rules from an existing PSP Agreement - this option copies the rules from an already established PSP Agreement.
- Do not import rules and keep the current rules - this option is available only if the agreement already has search rules.
- Bal. Account Type - specify the account type associated with the PSP (Bank Account or G/L Account).
- Bal. Account No. - select the bank account number to use as the balancing account in the cash receipt journal.
- Click Next.
- After you click Next in the PSP Agreement Setup wizard, you can generate external references for open and posted invoices, as well as ledger entries, so that they match the imported data. For more information, see the section below.
To edit the rules of an existing PSP agreement
The following procedure describes the steps for editing an existing PSP agreement, but it handles the same fields you see on the wizard page.
To edit the rules of an existing PSP agreement:
Search for and select PSP Agreements. Select the PSP agreement that you want to edit. Alternatively, move to the second page of the PSP Agreement Setup wizard.
On the action bar, select Related, and then select one of the following actions:
- PSP External Reference Rules - edit the rules that match imported transactions with ledger entries, and then click Next. These rules match imported transactions with ledger entries during reconciliation. Default mappings are provided in the PSP Search Rule Template. You can also define custom rules for sales orders, invoices, credit memos, and customer ledger entries. Custom rules can reference any table, including custom tables, so you can map data such as customer numbers directly to the cash receipt journal.
- PSP Search Rules - edit the search rules, for example, to turn off a rule or change the Account No. field. To turn off a rule, select the Disable checkbox. Make sure that each rule has an associated Account No. value. On the action bar, select Edit to open the PSP Search Rule page, which gives you access to more settings.
Bemærk
The PSP Search Rule Template includes fields for common invoice separations. If you need additional fields, you can create a custom rule.
To manage PSP agreements
You can also manage the agreements outside of the guide. Search for and select PSP Agreements. On this page, you can add and edit agreements, and use the following actions on the action bar:
- Export and Import - transfer the selected agreements, including their settings and rules, to and from a JSON file. For more information, see Importing and exporting CSV ports.
- Azure Blob Storage Setup and Schedule Job Queue - import the PSP files of the agreement from Azure Blob Storage on a schedule. For more information, see Importing PSP files from Azure Blob Storage.
- Related > PSP External Reference Rules, PSP Search Rules, Credit Memo Identification Rules, and PSP Reconciliation Setup - open the rules and settings of the selected agreement.
- Related > Dimensions - assign dimensions to the agreement.
If you delete an agreement that has PSP data that isn't imported or posted, Continia Banking asks you to confirm. If you continue, Continia Banking marks the data as imported. For more information, see Working with PSP headers.
