Working with the remittance advice outbox

The Remittance Advice Outbox page lists all remittance advices in one place, both sent and unsent. This includes remittance advices that Continia Banking creates when you post or create payments, and remittance advices that you add manually.

On the Remittance Advice Outbox page, you can view details such as the following:

  • Document No.
  • Remittance Advice Information Type
  • Recipient Email
  • Sent On

To open the Remittance Advice Outbox

You can open the outbox for all remittance advices, or for a specific customer or vendor.

To open the outbox:

  • Search () for and select Remittance Advice Outbox.

To open the outbox for a specific customer or vendor:

  • On the customer or vendor card, on the action bar, click Actions > Other > Remittance Advice Outbox. The outbox shows only the remittance advices related to that account.

You can also open the outbox from a customer or vendor ledger entry by clicking Find entries on the action bar.

To edit and resend a remittance advice

You can change the Remittance Advice Information Type and Recipient Email fields after a remittance advice has been sent. For example, you can send the remittance advice to a different recipient, or switch the delivery method from email to PDF. When you change these fields, Continia Banking resets the Sent status, so you can resend the remittance advice.

To edit and resend a remittance advice:

  1. Search () for and select Remittance Advice Outbox.
  2. Select the remittance advice and update the Remittance Advice Information Type or Recipient Email field.
  3. On the action bar, click Export/Send Advice. Depending on the setup, Continia Banking sends the remittance advice by email or exports it as a file.

To mark a remittance advice as sent

You can mark a remittance advice as sent without sending it, for example, when you have informed the recipient in another way.

To mark a remittance advice as sent:

  1. Search () for and select Remittance Advice Outbox.
  2. Select one or more remittance advices.
  3. On the action bar, click Actions > Mark as Sent.

To troubleshoot unsent remittance advices

On the Remittance Advice Outbox page, remittance advices with issues, such as a missing recipient email address, are highlighted. To find problems in the setup, such as a missing email account, run the Remittance Advice Setup Check.

To run the remittance advice setup check:

  1. Search () for and select Remittance Advice Setup Check.
  2. Review and resolve the issues that prevent remittance advices from being sent.
