Bank Connect

Bank Connect is a collaboration between the Regional Bankers' Association, local banks, and three data centers named SDC, BEC, and Bankdata.

Bank Connect can create a connection between your financial system and your bank, to automate the company's daily processes around payments and reconciliations based on account statements and notifications. Bank Connect offers its members a standard integration solution, which is currently used by 60 banks in Denmark.

Bank Connect and Continia

Continia supports Bank Connect, and thus all three data centers and a large part of the other banks that are members. If your bank is a member, you have the opportunity to sign up for a Bank Connect subscription in your bank and thus get direct integration between Payment Management and your online banking solution.

Some of the benefits of having a Bank Connect subscription are:

  • a faster way to pay bills: It can be done automatically from Business Central.
  • the possibility of STP (Straight Through Processing) between Business Central and the bank's systems. In practice, this means that you do not have to approve the payments in the bank's online bank.
  • possibility to change bank without losing the integration between Business Central and the bank, as the interface between the systems will be the same with Bank Connect.
  • a more secure form of communication than manual file management.

How to find your "Bank Connect bank"

If you want to find further information about your Bank Connect bank, use the bank overview, where you can apply to the bank by selecting Denmark or the Faroe Islands. When you then click on the bank, you enter the article that describes the data center to which the bank belongs. From here you can find further documentation on which online banking solutions are supported as well as documentation on setting up direct communication via Bank Connect.

Important

You should be aware that the three data centers with which the banks are affiliated do not offer the same functions and solutions for Bank Connect. See the overview here to get a better overview of the differences.
