Setting up the Factoring module
You can set up the Factoring module either manually or using the assisted setup guide. Both methods are described below.
No matter which of the methods you choose, you must activate the module first using Continia Solution Management. This is described below under To activate the module.
Note
Before you start, make sure that you have the correct company open in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You must be in the company in which you want to manage factoring. This can easily be an operational company that participates in factoring itself. If only one company in your environment uses factoring, you should manage factoring directly within that company. You can technically do it from another company, but it’s not advisable.
To activate the module
In order to activate the module using Continia Solution Management, follow these steps:
- Search (
) for and select Continia Solution Management. - In the list of solutions, select Continia Finance.
- In the action bar, select Manage Modules to open the Manage Continia Finance Modules assisted setup guide.
- Select Next.
- In the list of modules, locate Factoring, select the box in the Enabled column, and then select Next.
- Enable the I confirm the selected modules toggle, and then select Next.
- Select Finish to apply the settings and close the guide.
The Factoring module is now activated, and you can continue to set it up, as described below.
To set up the module using the assisted setup guide
Setting up the Factoring module is easy with the help of the assisted setup guide. To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the Settings
icon > Assisted Setup. - In the list of setup guides, under Continia Finance, select Set up Factoring to open the guide.
- Select Next to start the guide.
- Complete the steps in the guide, and select Finish when you're done.
The module is now configured, and you're ready to set up factors.
To set up the module manually
You can also set up the Factoring module manually using the Factoring Setup page:
- Search (
) for and select Factoring Setup. - In the action bar, select Create Setup Data, and then select OK.
- In Factoring Company, select the company that must collect the factoring information.
- In Factoring Proposal Nos, select the number series for the proposals.
The module is now configured, and you're ready to set up factors.
