Document Capture and Continia Sustainability

As environmental challenges intensify, the concept of business success is evolving to prioritize sustainability. Climate change, caused by excess greenhouse gases (GHG), is disrupting our climate and pushing us to find a balance between emissions and the Earth’s natural ability to absorb them.

By integrating Continia Sustainability with Document Capture, you can more effectively track and manage your climate impact – enabling your business to comply with regulations while contributing to a more sustainable future.

About Continia Sustainability

Continia Sustainability is an end-to-end solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that enables you to collect, manage, and track all data related to your company's climate impact. It helps you achieve sustainability goals, avoid the financial risks of carbon liabilities, and comply with new government regulations.

Starting from January 2023, large companies and listed small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within the EU market must report their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impact as mandated by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Similar regulations are being implemented worldwide, encouraging businesses to enhance transparency in their environmental reporting. Continia Sustainability simplifies ESG reporting within Business Central, helping companies monitor their carbon footprint and initiate sustainability efforts smoothly.

Additional functionality

The integration between Document Capture and Continia Sustainability provides you with environmental fields, which can be configured on the G/L account or template levels. These fields can then be populated with values related to your captured documents, and the data within these fields can be imported into Continia Sustainability to help you track your company's emissions.

For information on how to add the environmental fields to Document Capture, see Tracking emissions in Document Capture.
